SARAH FAIRCHILD

Sarah Fairchild is a painter and self-taught printmaker investigating the hand-made verses the mass-produced. Her work stems from a concern for the environment and a need for more sustainable food sources, while also playing with the ideas of fashion, beauty and sensuality. She transforms common, humble and often ignored forms such as weeds and vegetables through the use of magnified scale, hot color and metallic and velvet surfaces.
