ONWARD is a continuation of Ted Hartley’s abstract work that he’s dedicated himself to for the last 6 years. The present work is heavily influenced by his environment, living right on the oceanfront in East Hampton, NY. This is his second exhibition at Keyes Gallery in Sag Harbor, following the first, in 2019, being a big success.

There is something innate about a very good painter, especially one willing to embark upon abstraction. No university can teach heart and soul. Ted Hartley has heart and soul. It is the life force of every painting he finishes, loud and clear.
